Wonderful chopsticks made in the purest Kyo Yuuzen style, a traditional Japanese embroidery and dyeing method which takes its origins in Kyoto where it is still used.
Japanese urushi lacquer is made from the sap of the urushi tree, a tradition dating back to the Jomon period (6000BC).
Laquered objects (Shikki) are sensitive to a direct exposure to sunlight. These products cannot be used in microwaves and cannot be washed in dishwasher. Urushi products should be quickly dried after washing.
