This Hakata Ningyō (博多人形) shows a young woman standing, wearing a red and gold kimono with soft-toned floral circular patterns. Her straight posture, calm look, and white painted hair show her simplicity and elegance.

Made of clay and entirely hand-painted, this figurine comes from the artisanal craftsmanship of the Fukuoka region. It belongs to the tradition of Hakata Ningyō, where Hakata refers to the former name of a district in Fukuoka, and Ningyō means doll.

With a height of 35,5cm, it is a beautiful decorative item, perfect for fans of Japanese culture or collectors of handmade objects.
