This noren represents the Kinkaku-ji (Temple of the Golden Pavillon) located in Kyoto, the ancient imperial capital for more than one thousand years.
Built in 1397 for the Shogun Ashikaga Yoshimitsu, it was destined to house Buddhist relics.
An elegant Maiko (Geisha trainee) invites us to admire this Japanese strolling garden and its Golden Pavillon covered by pure gold sparkling in the surrounding water.
